CECAM-FR-MOSER  - Lorraine

Welcome to the homepage of the CECAM Node MOSER (CECAM-FR-MOSER) in Lorraine!

The CECAM (Centre Européen de Calcul Atomique et Moléculaire) was founded in Paris in 1969 by Dr Carl Moser. It is an organization devoted to the promotion of fundamental research on advanced computational methods and to their application to important problems in frontier areas of science and technology.

The CECAM is organized in regional "nodes" present in eight European countries. The node MOSER is located in Ile-de-France and Lorraine area in France

The University of Lorraine has officially become a member of  CECAM on May 2016. By joining the already existing node Ile-de-France, the new node Moser (CECAM-FR-MOSER) has been created. The following Institutions are involved:

The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS)
The Commissariat à l’Energie atomique (CEA)
The Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Paris (ENSCP)
The Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS)
The Université de Marne la Vallée (UMLV)
The Université Pierre et Marie Curie (UPMC)
The Université Paris-Sud(UPSud)
The University of Lorraine (UL)

On May 23rd 2016, the consortium agreement and the general organisation of the node has been presented in Nancy by the Director of the Node, Prof. Daniel Borgis, with the participation of the President of the University, Prof. Pierre Mutzenhardt and other University Officers.
